1. Keep Your Account Information Private

Never share your password, OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, recovery code or banking credentials with another person. Genuine support staff should not ask you to disclose confidential authentication details to approve a payment or receive a refund.

  • Create a strong password that you do not reuse on other websites.
  • Do not save passwords on shared or public devices.
  • Enable available security features, such as two-step verification, where supported.
  • Sign out after using an account on a device that is not yours.
JpgPay.in is an independent informational website. Do not enter your JpgPay account password, OTP, UPI PIN or banking credentials into this website.

3. Be Careful When Downloading APK Files

Installing an application from an unknown source can expose your device and information to risk. Only use a download source that you have independently verified and understand the permissions requested by the application.

  • Avoid APK files forwarded by unknown individuals or unofficial groups.
  • Check the app name, publisher and requested permissions before installing.
  • Do not ignore security warnings from your phone.
  • Remove applications you do not recognise or no longer trust.

JpgPay.in does not guarantee the safety, authenticity or availability of third-party application files or services linked from external sources.

4. Verify Payment Details Carefully

Always review payment information in your own banking or payment application before approving a transaction. Check the recipient and amount carefully. Do not rely only on a screenshot or a message sent by another person as proof of payment.

5. Recognise Common Online Scams

Fake customer support: Unknown callers may pretend to be support agents and ask for OTPs, PINs or remote access to your phone.
Fake payment screenshots: A screenshot or forwarded message is not proof that money has reached your account.
Reward or prize messages: Be cautious if someone asks for an advance fee or confidential details to release a prize, bonus or reward.
Urgent account warnings: Messages threatening immediate account closure may be designed to make you click a fraudulent link.
Remote-access applications: Do not install screen-sharing or remote-control apps at the request of an unknown person.

6. Protect Your Mobile Device

  • Use a secure screen lock and do not share your device unlock code.
  • Keep your phone operating system, browser and applications updated.
  • Review app permissions and disable permissions that are not needed.
  • Avoid sensitive transactions on public or unsecured Wi-Fi.
  • Do not leave your phone unlocked or unattended in public places.
  • Use trusted security tools and remove unfamiliar applications.

7. What to Do If You Suspect Fraud

If you notice an unauthorised transaction or believe that your account or device has been compromised, act quickly:

  1. Stop interacting with the suspicious person, website or application.
  2. Contact your bank or payment service provider through its verified app, website or official contact channel.
  3. Ask your bank about blocking or securing affected payment methods and accounts.
  4. Change passwords for accounts that may have been compromised.
  5. Preserve transaction IDs, messages, phone numbers and other relevant evidence.
  6. In India, report suspected cyber financial fraud promptly at cybercrime.gov.in or call the national cyber fraud helpline 1930.
For a suspected unauthorised bank transaction, contact your bank immediately. Do not wait for a reply from an unknown social media account or unofficial support number.
